History:
The original version of this process was created by astrologer Buz Myers 30 years ago. It was designed for astrologers and people with an astrology background. When I worked this process in the 1980’s it made some incredible changes in my life and work. All for the better. When Buz passed away I wanted to turn his impact teachings into something anyone could use to improve their lives. Chart Your Course is the result of years of honing and working the process myself so I could be sure it still had validity. We have taken Buz’s core idea and made it workable by anyone. You don’t have to know astrology in order to benefit from this system.
Don’t pay someone else to tell you what will happen to you in the next year. Use the energies held in each zodiac sign to shape your life the way YOU want it to be. Be a creator, not just a bystander.
When you were born the planets formed a certain arrangement – think snapshot in the sky. That configuration of stars and planets shows you your strengths, weaknesses, challenges, gifts and a life course set for you at the moment of your birth.
You don’t have to be controlled by the fate of those planetary alignments.
You can alter your course according to the strengths you want to focus on and being aware of the weaknesses you want to correct.
You are more than just your sun sign. You have facets of all energies within you. As the dawn feels different from the dusk, we all experience the shift of natural energies as they occur, so too we can utilize the astrological energies of the calendar year as they change month by month and sign by sign. This process is about working with the energies in nature just as a fisherman works with the tides. As the sun progresses around the zodiac, different energies come into play. We take advantage of those energies and apply them to our own lives, one sign at a time. You are more than just your own sun sign: you are a composite of all the others as well. So this process allows you to put the entire zodiac to use.
Why 12 Days?
It all began 4000 years ago with the winter solstice when and the ancient Egyptians dedicated 12 days to the celebration of the festival of the sun.
In Mesopotamia they called it “a time to tame the monsters of chaos.”
The 3 wise men traveled 12 days by the light of the stars to find the Christ child.
There are 12 gates to the holy city.
There are 12 furlongs in the breadth of the ark
There are 12 original tribes in the Bible
There are 12 sun signs
There are 12 months in a year
There are 12 planets in the solar system including earth and Chiron.
If you add the numerals in the number 12 (1 plus 2) it equals three
which is the number of completion in Ancient Egypt, Christianity and Judaism.
